Cow Rear Hiplift by Coburn
Used with Pow’r Pull or another lifting device to lift a cow that is down from milk fever, calving injury, or a fall. Rubber-padded stirrups protect hip bones, and movable parts are sealed and lubricated. Adjustable from small heifers to large cows. Wt. 18 lbs.
The cow lift is placed over the cow’s hips and tightened as necessary by cranking the handle (similar to an implement jack) secures the cow as she is lifted.
Once the rear hip lift is attached to the cow, a wire stretcher, power pull, or similar device connected to an overhead beam or loader tractor can be used to lift the animal. This enables her to regain the use of her legs and she can be milked or treated in this position.
